The
mission of YoungBiz is to empower
young people with financial, business,
and entrepreneurial skills through innovative
education and real-world experience. |
In
1994, Steve Morris, a U.S. businessman,
founded KidsWay, Inc. in Atlanta, Georgia
and began working with experts to develop
programmes to teach youth entrepreneurship
skills to teen-
agers across America. As time went on,
Morris broadened the overall mission
and scope to include financial literacy,
career and business preparation, and
life skills education.
In
2002, via an asset acquisition, the
company became YoungBiz, Inc. and began
to expand geographically, sending trainers
throughout the U.S. and into many parts
of the world, including Singapore, Thailand,
Barbados, and Puerto Rico. YoungBiz
Korea was launched in Seoul in 2003,
YoungBiz United Kingdom in 2004, and
YoungBiz Hong Kong was founded in 2005.
Together,
key management personnel on the YoungBiz
staff have more than 75 years experi-
ence in business and financial literacy
education. |
